Frustrated!

I spent 7 hours at the ER yesterday for them to tell me that I am just having headaches! I know that I have headaches, but these pains are NOT headaches. They are just sharp pains that come intermittently only lasting for a couple of seconds. The problem is that they are coming more frequently and more severe. I knew that it wasn't going to do any good to go there, and I didn't want to. I was prodded into going to see if it could be figured out. Of course, they told me that I would have to go to a neurologist to find out for sure. Duh, but since I have no job and no insurance how do they think that I am going to be able to do that! I'm not, that's how! I remember when you didn't have to go to this doctor and that doctor and this doctor to get anything done. It really pisses me off!

Along with the 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 4 birds that have become part of my family since moving to California, I would like you to meet Frick & Frack. They decided to make our pool their new home! LOL!

Busy, busy

Whew!... It has been a very busy last few days. We finally got the deck floor rebuilt. That was quite interesting as none of us had a clue as to how to do this. We made mistakes along the way and had to rethink it many times, but it is done. I'm thinking that we will be spending lots of time out there by the pool.

Then we started painting the outside of the house. We got the back side done and will be working on the sides probably next week.

Yesterday we spent painting the front room. Along with that comes cleaning behind things and dusting off all the knick knacks that are around. That took most of the day, but wow, what a difference the painting made. We had a couple of "blonde" moments with the painting, so we were pretty much laughing through the whole project.

We are going to be putting down new flooring in 2 weeks and put the trim up. Then we will move on to the kitchen. Talk about makeover madness. It is more fun when you're not doing it by yourself. Even though I started aching more and more, I felt that sense of accomplishment after it was done. That makes the pain at least worthwhile. Today is a break day so I thought I would let you all know what has been happening in my little corner of the universe.
